Card holder
How does a cardholder get started?+
Purchase your TransCash Dual Pack at a partner retail location or order it online. Once you receive the sealed package, activate either card by phone or through your TransCash Online Account, set your PIN, sign the cards and start using them immediately.
What are the benefits to TransCash cardholders?+
Use your card anywhere Visa or Mastercard are accepted worldwide; pay bills, shop online, travel and withdraw cash; share money instantly with a loved one through the linked Secondary card; track spending online; and avoid the cost of check-cashing, money orders and traditional remittance.
Do I need a bank account to get a TransCash card?+
No. TransCash is fully bankless. Eligibility is subject to identity verification (passport or government-issued ID) and local regulations, but you do not need a bank account or credit history.
If I apply for a TransCash card, will there be a credit inquiry?+
No. There is no credit check to purchase or activate a TransCash card. Approval is based on appropriate identity verification only.
Account information
What do I need to register with TransCash?+
Valid proof of identity (passport or government-issued ID), basic personal details and, if you wish, the contact details of the beneficiary you would like to share funds with on the Secondary card.
What countries can I acquire a TransCash card in?+
TransCash is available worldwide through our licensee network and partner retail locations across more than 150 countries. Contact our support team or check our country selector to confirm availability in your region.
Can I purchase a TransCash card if I live in a country where it is not offered?+
Card sales follow local licensee coverage and applicable regulations. If TransCash is not currently available in your country, please contact us, we can advise on the nearest market or upcoming launches.
Can I purchase the card for someone else?+
Yes. The Dual Pack is designed exactly for this, keep the Primary card for yourself and give the Secondary card to a family member or beneficiary. Each customer can hold a maximum of two packs.
Card features
How does the Dual Pack work?+
You receive two prepaid Visa or Mastercard cards in one sealed pack with two separate accounts. Keep the Primary, give the Secondary to a loved one. Use the Account-to-Account function to move funds in real-time. The Secondary card only has access to what you allocate.
Can I link more than one Secondary card to my Primary?+
Yes. The Primary cardholder can request and link up to ten supplementary cards to a single Primary card.
How is the TransCash Travel card different?+
The TransCash Multi-Currency Travel card holds up to 16 currencies and lets you lock in the exchange rate at the moment you load. It uses Chip & PIN security and works at over 2 million ATMs and 35 million Mastercard locations.
Card lost or stolen
What happens if I lose my card?+
Call our Customer Service team immediately to lock the card. Your funds remain safe and a replacement card is issued. The card is the property of the issuer and remains protected against unauthorised use.
Is online shopping safe with TransCash?+
Yes. Every purchase is protected by Visa and Mastercard's zero-liability protection, supported by PIN authentication and our anti-fraud monitoring.
Tips for card usage
How do I withdraw cash at an ATM?+
Insert your card at any ATM displaying the Visa, Plus, Star, Interlink or Mastercard symbol, enter your PIN, select Checking, choose the amount, take your cash and remember to retrieve your card.
How do I pay my bills?+
Activate the TransCash Bill Pay Service in your online account. If you need help, call Customer Service during business hours and an agent will guide you through it.
How do I top up my card?+
Reload via cash at partner retail outlets, transfer from your existing bank account, Direct Deposit of payroll or other income, or through your TransCash Online Account.
Card closure
How do I close my TransCash account?+
Contact our multi-lingual Customer Service Center. We will verify your identity, settle any remaining balance and process closure in line with applicable regulations.
